Jennifer Lawrence helps collapsed woman outside her apartment
(CBS News) Jennifer Lawrence became a real-life heroine on Monday when she reportedly came to the rescue of a young woman who had collapsed outside of her Southern California apartment complex.
"The Hunger Games" star, along with some other neighbors, helped the girl, who appeared to have been drinking, Sergeant Richard Lewis of the Santa Monica Police Department told Us Weekly.
"Miss Lawrence and several others waited beside the female until the police and paramedics arrived," said Sergeant Lewis to the magazine. "It was not serious and the female will be okay."
Photos were published online of the actress helping the girl, along with neighbors.
The 21-year-old Lawrence has been busy gearing up for the second "Hunger Games" film "Catching Fire," which begins shooting later this year.
