Jason Lee Update: Goldman Sachs banker indicted on rape charges for alleged Hamptons assault, report says

(CBS) EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. - A New York investment banker has been indicted on charges that he raped a woman at a party he was hosting at his East Hamptons rental home, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

According to the magazine, a grand jury indicted 37-year-old Jason Lee, a managing director at Goldman Sachs, on one count of first-degree rape, carrying a maximum 25-year sentence,  and two counts of assault and sexual misconduct.

Police say Lee was arrested and charged August 20 after allegedly assaulting a 20-year-old foreign student.

The East Hampton Star reports the gathering Lee was hosting was a pool party that involved nudity. Based on a more a recent report by the local paper, police said Lee pressed the alleged victim to the floor by putting his forearm on her throat. The woman has reportedly returned to her native country.

Lee, who is on leave from his position at Goldman Sachs, has denied the allegations.
