Jason Lee, Goldman Sachs banker, charged with rape in the Hamptons

(CBS) EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. - A New York investment banker has been arrested and charged with first degree rape after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman during a party at his Hamptons home.

Authorities say police responded to a disturbance at the house Jason Lee was renting with his wife in tony East Hampton. Police say several people had gathered at the house Tuesday and that a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted there.

According to The New York Times, Lee's lawyer, Edward Burke, Jr., says his client adamantly denies the allegations and he looks forward to clearing his name.

The East Hampton Star reports the gathering was a pool party that involved nudity.

Lee is an investment bank managing director at Goldman Sachs, he has reportedly been on leave following his arrest.

The 37-year-old was released after posting $20,000 cash bail at East Hampton Justice Court.
