Jackson Briefly Hospitalized
After reports that the pop star was burned in a firecracker accident, police on Monday said Michael Jackson was treated in hospital for exhaustion late Sunday and early Monday. The entertainer had been performing at a charity concert in Munich Sunday night.
Jackson suffered a Â"circulatory collapseÂ" and was rushed to hospital in a police cavalcade from Munich's Olympic stadium where the concert was held, police said.
He was discharged several hours later Monday morning, a spokesman for Munich police said.
Neither the police nor the hospital where he was treated gave details about his symptoms.
A spokesman for JacksonÂ's concert promoter earlier reported the entertainer had suffered minor burns from fireworks used in a benefit concert in Germany.
Fourteen years ago, Jackson suffered second-degree scalp burns during the filming of a soft-drink commercial. His hair caught fire when a smoke bomb misfired.
Jackson was among a host of stars who gave the concert at Munich's Olympic Stadium in aid of the Red Cross, UNESCO and Nelson Mandela's Children's Fund.
Other performers included Andrea Bocelli, Boyzone and Status Quo. The concert raised more than $1.6 million.
