Islamic State of Iraq Releases Video of 2007 Mafia-Style Attack on Iraqi Police

The Islamic State of Iraq, which al Qaeda is part of, released a video of a mafia-style attack on an Iraqi Police checkpoint in Nineveh. The video shows the gunmen approaching the checkpoint in their vehicle, then opening fire on the soldiers manning the checkpoint, before leaping out of the car and rushing towards the front room of the checkpoint and the police pick-up truck parked outside it to kill the soldiers with bullets fired at short distance. The gunmen were then shown collecting the weapons that belonged to the dead soldiers. The group's media wing, Al Furqaan, said the attack took place in al Rabia area in Nineveh and was carried out by four men only in October 2007.
