Is Jessica's New Film A Dud?
Sources tell the New York Daily News that Jessica Simpson's manager-father, Joe, has pushed back the release date of her latest film "Blonde Ambition" because the movie isn't very good.
"First, the release date was set for Aug. 3, and then it was delayed until the last week of August," an insider tells the newspaper. "Papa Joe then intervened and said he wasn't comfortable with the level of competition from other films that month."
Another source told the Daily News: "Jessica was not very focused on set and flubbed her lines often. She always had her dog around, was on the phone with (then) boyfriend John Mayer or was sitting in a warmed-up SUV."
Simpson, who recently split from Mayer, begins shooting another flick, "Major Movie Star," during the second week of July in Louisiana. She plays an actress-turned-Marine.

Though there have been reports that Simpson has dropped 20 pounds, her rep told The ShowBuzz last week that is false but that she has been whipping her body into shape with help from celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.
Simpson, who turns 27 on July 10, may flaunt her new physique when her new swimwear line launches July 14 in Miami during fashion week.
