After lending her star power for President Obama in 2012, pop singer Beyoncé may be throwing her weight behind Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Beyonce made an appearance at a Clinton campaign event in Manhattan's Upper East side Wednesday night, according to the New York Daily News. Music magnate L.A. Reid hosted the event, and Clinton was on hand to talk with supporters and donors, according to Politico.
A Twitter fan account, @TheBeyHiveTeam, posted a photo on social media with the pop icon at the event.
Reid, a former judge on the popular televised singing competition "The X Factor," is also the chairman and CEO of Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. Beyonce is signed under Columbia Records, another Sony Music division.
Reid also took to Twitter in support of Hillary Clinton, posting a photo of himself and the Democratic presidential candidate.
The reception at Reid's Manhattan home, costing a reported $2,700 a head, also drew in pop stars Meghan Trainor and Sharon Osbourne.
