Interactive Marketer Geary Acquires SEO Firm Fathom

San Diego-based digital marketing agency Geary has acquired Fathom Online, a search engine marketing firm. Basically, the deal builds out Geary's SEO practice, and the company hopes to offer customers are more complete online advertising solution with the inclusion of these services. The companies also argue that search engine marketing works best as part of a broader digital marketing campaign. Fathom, whose clients include Covad, PlanetOut (NSDQ: LGBT) and American Apparel, has raised $6 million from constellation ventures. Deal terms were not disclosed. Release (.pdf) (via Clickz)
