NEW YORK (CBS) Fox NFL analyst Brian Baldinger said Mexican reporter Ines Sainz was "asking for it" in regard to the treatment she received in the Jets locker room Saturday while working on a story about quarterback Mark Sanchez.

In a conversation with Tony Bruno on radio station 97.5 the Fanatic in Philadelphia, Baldinger said, "If you come into the NFL dressed the way that she is dressed you are just asking for it," according to the Huffingtonpost.com.

"I think she brings it upon herself," he said. "I don't know how you let her on a practice field [looking like that]."

Baldinger continued to reprimand Sainz, claiming that her outfit was not appropriate for the locker room, reports the site.

"Listen, these are painted on jeans. She's got a shirt that is just glued to her body," he said according to Huffingtonpost.com. "If you want her to walk up there and do an interview with Mark Sanchez, put her in a room with Mark Sanchez. Don't take her through the locker room."

The incident has sparked a widespread debate about women reporters in sports and has left many wondering where the fault lies in this particular case.

Footballs were thrown in Sainz's direction by a Jets coach during practice - seemingly deliberately - and players later called out to her in the team's locker room. She described the language used by players as "rude" and says she was "discomforted."

The NFL has launched an investigation into the incident.

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson personally apologized for the team's behavior. The NFL sent a memo to all 32 teams in the league Thursday reminding them of its equal access and conduct policy toward the media.
