WPP's JWT has poached Omnicom Group vet David Eastman to be the global head of its digital practice. Reporting to CEO Bob Jeffrey, Eastman will oversee the digital management teams, lead strategic development and work to integrate all JWT's digital assets worldwide. It's a new role within the agency, but a necessary one: JWT has more than 30 offices across North and South America, EMEA and Asia, and can serve global brands like Diageo, J&J and Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) more effectively with a streamlined digital network.
Eastman was most recently CEO of Republic Family, a digital and direct marketing group within Omnicom that included interactive agency Weapon 7 and tech developer Code. Prior to Republic, he held various roles during a seven-year stint with Agency.com, including CEO and president of international operations. Release.
