In Case You Missed It...

Following this week's looks at the "Evening News" lineup meeting and the tale of how one White House story developed we wanted to highlight some of our previous behind-the-scenes features for those of you who might be new to the site.

One of our very first forays into the annals of editorial decision-making came on Public Eye's first day, when we took a look at "The 10:30" editorial meeting, where executives and producers make major decisions about news coverage for that day and in the future.


We've had some close looks at how stories have developed – how Ed Bradley and "60 Minutes" producers Graham Messick and Michael Karzis found themselves in a Harlem brownstone with an unidentified eco-ninja. Or, how Scott Pelley and producers Andy Court and Jill Landes spent years chasing the story of Charles Robert Jenkins for "60 Minutes."

We've also ventured into the control room of "The Early Show" to get an inside perspective on how Executive Producer Michael Bass' team coordinates reporters in the field, anchors on the set as well as everyone in the control room during a live broadcast:

The "Evening News" also offered us a look at their control room during a live broadcast, where we got a close look at EP Jim Murphy and director Eric Shapiro as they called the shots:
