Ill. mom, daughter charged with attacking school employees, teen

CHICAGO -- A mother and daughter -- upset at disciplinary action taken against another relative -- were charged after allegedly beating and stabbing two Chicago Public School employees and a teen student, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

Authorities say the attack took place at 4 p.m. last Tuesday, when Debbie Wilson, 45, and her daughter -- also named Debbie Wilson -- 26, went to pick up the elder Wilson's 14-year-old daughter. The 14-year-old was being disciplined at the school, according to the newspaper.

Prosecutors told reporters that after witnessing the teenager being escorted out of the school, the two women began getting defensive. They started arguing and the younger Wilson allegedly stabbed the school administrator and and a female security guard; the 45-year-old Wilson was allegedly punching the two.

According to the district attorney, a teenage male tried to intervene and was stabbed as well. It is not certain whether the teen attended the school. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening, officials told reporters.

Fleeing after the stabbing, both Wilson women were arrested and held on bail Saturday -- $100,000 for the 45-year-old and $125,000 for the 26-year-old, according to the paper.
