How to Sync Your Outlook Calendar with Windows Live Calendar

windows-live-logo.jpgAs any Google Calendar user knows, having a copy of your appointment schedule on the Web can really come in handy. Now Outlook users can sync their calendars with Windows Live Calendar thanks to a new beta version of the Microsoft Outlook Connector.

When we first looked at the connector, it existed primarily to facilitate Windows Live Hotmail access within Outlook (which it still does). The updated version allows you to manage and synchronize multiple calendars -- including shared calendars -- between Outlook and Microsoft's Web-based calendar.

Well, in theory, anyway. I couldn't get it to work in Outlook 2003. After installing and configuring the Connector, nothing happened. Too bad, as this could really be a useful option for Outlook users. For now, you may want to stick with Google Calendar Sync. (If you have better luck with Outlook Connector, hit the Comments and let us know.) [via ReadWriteWeb]
