How do you pronounce Qatar and why care?

Qatar is a Middle Eastern nation as tiny and unknown in the United State as it is wealthy, from its vast oil and gas reserves.

But, as "60 Minutes" correspondent Bob Simon and "60 Minutes Overtime" correspondent Ann Silvio note, Qatar will be on the tip of Americans' tongues before too long - it's been awarded soccer's 2022 World Cup, beating out, among others, the U.S.

Right now though, most Americans can't even agree on - or don't know how to - pronounce Qatar.
