Allison Janney and Anna Faris looked like they were having fun as first-time co-hosts of Wednesday's People's Choice Awards.

The evening kicked off with a humorous pre-taped segment featuring Faris' husband, actor Chris Pratt. They joked about how they can now afford a nanny thanks to Pratt's his recent big-screen success.

The gals then hit the stage live for the opening monologue, which featured a series of jokes - one involving "Hot in Cleveland" star Betty White.

"We are completely live, so keep everything clean -- especially you Betty White," said Janney.

They also turned the humor on themselves, joking about why they were chosen as emcees.

"Oh, who are we kidding?" said Farris. "Neil Patrick Harris was unavailable, and Ellen DeGeneres said she was busy."

How did Anna Faris and Allison Janney do as co-hosts?

Janney and Farris did a good job of poking fun at each other -- and they continued to shamelessly plug their CBS show, "Mom," throughout the night.

The pair boosted the humor factor with a series of pre-taped skits, one involving the casts of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and Half Men."

Farris and Janney aren't the only comedic duo taking on hosting duties this awards season. On Sunday, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will emcee the Golden Globe Awards.
