House of Gaga Rocks "Glee"
NEW YORK (CBS) "Ra-rah, Ooh, La La"! The Cast of FOX's "Glee" pays homage to singing sensation Lady Gaga in song, dance and -- most importantly -- outfit.
In an ode to "Theatricality," last night's "Glee" featured New Directions' cast members, both male and female, all gussied up in memorable outfits worn by the "Bad Romance" star.
And, whew, the 24-year-old pop star's wild ensembles are many. Let's list 'em off, shall we?
First, there's the lobster headpiece with black spandex pants; a sculptural black bustier with triangular silver panels; an orbital mock-Armani gown Gaga wore to the 2010 Grammys; two metallic get-ups, one with a plum-colored wig and hula-hooped skirt, the other a recreation of an Alexander McQueen "Armadillo" dress with matching heels from the "Walk, Walk" scene in the "Bad Romance" video; a tight black lace leotard number with matching floral hat; a painstakingly recreated Kermit The Frog dress with various stapled stuffed animals; and a bubble costume pulled from her staged acoustic versions of "Poker Face" (sans bubble-filled piano, thank-you-very-much).
The "Fame Monster" herself took to Twitter today with her own emphatic weigh-in: "GLEE WAS SO AMAZING! AH!!!!"
Fans of last night's tribute can catch the cast on the road in full Gaga regalia as "Glee Live! In Concert!" currently tours the United States.
