Hot Cocktails for Cold Nights

After another round of heavy snow it seems like the cold will never let up. But one way to beat the cold is to warm up with a nice hot cocktail. Brian Van Flandern, the mixologist at the famed Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel in New York and author of the "Vintage Cocktails," appeared on "The Early Show" with four simple and delicious cocktails you can try at home.

"Early Show" Recipes Galore

RECIPES:
Chocolate Milk & Honey

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 ounces Bénédictine
1/2 ounce Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
Top up with hot milk

METHOD:
Combine one and a half ounces good quality Benedictine, Godiva chocolate liqueur and hot milk. Serve in an Irish coffee mug and garnish with grated dark chocolate.

Blueberry Tea

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
1/2 ounce Amaretto
1 tablespoon of Honey
2 ounces Hot Water

METHOD:
Combine grand Marnier, amaretto, one tablespoon of honey and two ounces of hot water. Serve in a brandy snifter and garnish with a lemon wedge.

...And Everything Nice

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 ounces Don Julio Reposado Tequila
1 ounce Unfiltered Apple Cider
1/2 ounce Agave Nectar
1/2 ounce Lemon Juice
Freshly Ground Cinnamon

METHOD:
Combine tequila, apple cider, agave nectar and lemon juice. Serve in a white wine glass with a flamed orange peel as garnish.

Hot Buttered Chestnut Rum

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 ounces Zacapa Rum
Table Spoon of Butter Rum Mix: (Butter, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, Vanilla Bean
Chestnut Paste)
Steamed Half-&-Half topped with foam

METHOD:
Combine rum and a tablespoon of the butter rum mix. Add the steamed half and half and top with foamed milk. Garnish with ground nutmeg and serve in an espresso cup.
