Homicide inquiry starts after 3 bodies found in burning SUV
ORANGE, Calif. -- Homicide detectives are investigating after three male bodies were found inside a burning SUV in a Southern California neighborhood.
The bodies were discovered Monday afternoon after firefighters doused the blaze on the driveway of a home in the city of Orange. Officials say there were no reports of a traffic accident before the fire.
Police Lt. Fred Lopez tells the Orange County Register that the victims did not live at the house where the SUV was parked. Neighbors did not recognize the vehicle.
Lopez says the SUV is not registered to anyone in Orange County.
Investigators searched several nearby yards for possible suspects. There have been no arrests.
The coroner's office says all of the victims were males, but no ages or names have been released.
