Hikmatyar Claims Downing C-17 Globemaster at Bagram

A spokesperson for the Islamic Party led by Afghan warlord Gulbuddin Hikmatyar claims that the group has shot down a C-17 aircraft at Bagram airfield on Friday and that the troops onboard had all been killed. The U.S. military had acknowledged that a C-17 plane had made an emergency landing at the base, but said all crew members were safe and sound. An investigation team is now looking into what caused the accident.
