Congratulations to our colleagues at CBSNews.com for winning the EPpy for "Best Overall Network TV/Cable-Affiliated Internet Service." Co-sponsored by Editor & Publisher and Mediaweek magazines, the EPpy's have quickly become a prestigious award for online media outlets:

Since 1996, the EPpy Awards have honored the best new media services from the newspaper industry. In 2003, the awards were expanded for the first time to honor the best work in the online field by media outlets, including newspapers, radio, and broadcast/cable TV. Each year, an independent panel of industry experts selects the top examples of interactive services in a variety of categories.

CBSNews.com beat out two other finalists, CBC.ca and FoodNetwork.com to win the network category and it's the second time CBSNews.com has collected the EPpy in its category. So, props to all those toiling away in the Web mines each day – CBSNews.com may not have Rachael Ray, but it does come away with the prize!
