Helen Mirren gets a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Helen Mirren blew kisses to the crowd as she received the 2,488th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday.
Her star sits on Hollywood Boulevard, alongside the one dedicated to fellow English actor Colin Firth.
"I couldn't be prouder and more happy that I'm actually going to finally lie next to Colin Firth, something I've been wanting to do for a very long time," the 67-year-old actress joked, reports Reuters.
Writer and director David Mamet introduced Mirren, saying, "Helen's performances reap higher praise than being praised they're loved."
The Oscar-winning actress will be seen in Mamet's upcoming TV biopic about producer Phil Spector, also starring Al Pacino. She's also attached to "Red 2," co-starring Bruce Willis, Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
