Hay, hay, goodbye: 200 bales stolen from barn

(CBS/AP) FAYETTE, Maine - Up to 200 bales of hay were stolen from a central Maine horse barn, with the owner estimating the loss at about $600.

Roxanne Turner, whose parents own the barn in Fayette, tells the Kennebec Journal she thinks the hay will be sold because demand in other parts of the country is high due to last summer's drought.

The hay was probably stolen late Tuesday night and was reported missing Wednesday morning when Turner went out to feed the horses.

She says what's most disturbing is that her parents were sleeping in the nearby house during the hay heist, so now she's concerned for their safety.
