Hamas Release Pictures of Vehicles Used in Kerem Shalom Attack

Hamas armed wing Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades released two videos showing pictures of the vehicles used in the suicide attack on Kerem Shalom crossing on April 19th. The first is an 1:08 minute video showing the armored personnel carrier confiscated by Hamas from Abu Mazen's security forces, in addition to an army Jeep and another 4X4, setting off on their mission. The three have been disguised as IDF (Israel Defense Forces) vehicles. The second video is 5:47 minute long, and featured the three perpetrators making their final statements. They were identified as Mahmoud abu Samra, Ahmed Abu Suleiman, and Ghassan Erheim.

The three men had launched their attack close to six in the morning on April 19 shortly after a flood of mortars fell on Kibbutz Kerem Shalom and heavy machine guns fired at IDF forces in the area. The armored personnel carrier then broke through the crossing gate, and the two other car bombs blew up close to the guard tower and a group of IDF soldiers positioned nearby. The attack is considered one of the most complex carried out by Hamas since the disengagement in August 2005.
