(CBS News) Halle Berry was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday night after being injured on the set of her new movie.

A rep for the Oscar winner told CBS radio station KNX, "Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, 'The Hive.' She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned."

TMZ reports that Berry, 45, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after the injury, which occurred around 10 p.m. According to the website, the actress "hit her head on the concrete after taking a nasty fall." An ambulance was reportedly called to the scene.

Last September, Berry, who is engaged to actor Olivier Martinez, broke her foot while walking in Majorca, Spain, during a day off from filming the movie "Cloud Atlas." The injury reportedly forced her to back out of an appearance at this year's Academy Awards.
