Gwen Stefani almost opens up about Gavin Rossdale split
In an almost-candid interview with the New York Times, Gwen Stefani reveals that her breakup with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale started nearly six months before they filed for divorce.
"My life was literally blown up into my face," she said of the morning after the Grammy Awards in February 2015, though she refused to give more than vague details about the cause of the split. "If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock. It's a really good, juicy story."
While readers have to use their imaginations as to exactly what happened, Stefani is much more up-front on her feelings about having joint custody of her three children with Rossdale. "It's like, the most unjust, unbelievable system," she said of dividing time with her sons, though she did acknowledge the arrangement has given her more time to write new music.
