You won't get there as quickly as you would in a train, plane, or car, but you'll get in shape, you'll really see the sights, and you won't have to endure traffic jams or flight delays. So, get ready to take that bike trip.

In The United States:

Far West

(California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii)

No, you can't ride from L.A. to Honolulu, but you'll find some cool trips around and about each of those cities here.


Mid-Atlantic

(New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and DC)

View the Manhattan skyline or take a ride through Capitol Hill — just watch out for those cabs.


Midwest, Great Lakes, And Central Plains

(North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois)

There's nothing like visiting the land where the buffalo roamed. Choose your own route, but watch out for the moose.


New England

(Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Maine)

Take a day trip around beautiful Martha's Vineyard. Or, if you think you're tough, try some of the rugged trails in eastern Connecticut.


Rocky Mountains

(Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana)

Idal trips for mountain bikers: millions of acres of forest, crossed by thousands of miles of trails and paths. There are some pretty nice paved roads, too, and very few taxi drivers to get in your way.


Southeast

(North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas)

Ride through the alligator-filled Florida Everglades. Have barbecue for breakfast... Spend all day riding off the calories.


Southwest

(Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada)

Ah, biking in Dinosaurland. It's not Jurassic Park, but these tracks in Utah's Ashley National Forest will conjure up the past in a big way. Remember to leave any DNA exactly where you find it.
