Grammy Baskets Chock Full Of Swag
Grammy night's presenters and performers will have their hands full when they leave music's biggest event of the year Feb. 11.
Stars such as Carrie Underwood and Shakira should be prepared to lug home lots of swag. Each of them will walk off with an official Grammy gift basket overflowing with items like a year-long membership to The Sports Club/LA, a six-month online membership to Netflix, and assorted body butter from Beauty Bar, among other things. Early birds will also receive free handouts at the Grammy talent lounge, which will be open during rehearsals for the show on Feb. 8-10.
In the lounge, stars will have their pick of designer eyewear from Solstice Sunglass Boutique, guitars from Gibson Guitar, jean jackets from joluka, nail care from Creative Nail Design, Inc., and hair care from Hair Dr. Spela.
The basket includes two deluxe getaways: a two-night retreat to the Morongo Casino Resort Spa in Cabazon, Calif., and a gift certificate for a two-night stay in a deluxe studio at the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa in Canada.
Distinctive Assets, an LA-based entertainment marketing company, is producing the gift baskets and lounge for the Grammys. This is the seventh year the company has done the honors.
"The Grammy gifts have become legendary … the gold standard by which swag is measured," says Lash Fary, CEO of Distinctive Assets. "There are occasionally gift baskets out there worth more, but none are as fun and fabulous as the eclectic assortment we create for the Grammys. From the basics to the decadent, we'll yet again be pulling out all the stops to produce the best gift basket and lounge of the year."
