Google co-founder Brin spotted wearing Google Glasses on NYC subway

Google co-founder Sergey Brin was spotted riding the subway in New York City, wearing a pair of the company's augmented-reality glasses.

New York City resident and augmented reality enthusiast Noah Zerkin tweeted out a photo of Brin wearing the glasses Sunday.

"Yeeeah... I just had a brief conversation with the most powerful man in the world. On the downtown 3 train. Nice guy,"[sic] Zerkin tweeted with a photo of Brin.

Google announced Project Glass in April 2012. The glasses are designed to display information and incorporate voice recognition technology. Some examples of how the glasses were most useful included: displaying the weather, reporting subway service outages and checking messages.

This isn't the first time Brin has been spotted wearing the glasses. Within days of the announcement last year, Brin was photographed at a charity event wearing a pair of the spectacles.

It's unclear when consumers will be able to purchase the glasses. According to CNET, it could be in 2014. However, Google said a select group of developers will have a chance to purchase an "explorer" edition for $1,500 this year.
