Golden Day For 'As The World Turns'
It was a day to celebrate for the hit CBS soap opera "As the World Turns." The daytime drama celebrated its 50th anniversary on the air, with an episode to remember.
Generations of fans have followed the lives of residents from the fictional town of Oakdale and today's episode focused on the show's seven divas, who are stranded in the wilderness after a bus crash.
The cast joined co-anchor Harry Smith on The Early Show to laugh about good times. Their number of years on the show range from 21 to 50, for veteran Helen Wagner. And they pointed out to Smith that today's episode was number 12,734.
