Giuliana and Bill Rancic talk marriage, adoption

For some celebrity couples reality TV can make or break the relationship.

We've witnessed relationship train wrecks from Linda and Hulk Hogan to Kate and Jon Gosselin, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, and Britney Spears and K-Fed. Even the "Bachelor's" Emily Maynard and Brad Womack didn't make it to the altar.

So who does it really work out for?

"E! News" anchor Giuliana Rancic and her husband, the original "Apprentice" winner Bill Rancic insist that having a reality TV show, while not always easy, has only made their relationship better.

"It's been great for our marriage," Giuliana tells CBSNews.com.

The celebrity couple, who launched the fourth season of "Giuliana & Bill" on the Style network on July 18, say that despite the bad reputation that reality TV gets, their show represents a healthy and successful marriage. Hard to come by these days!

What can fans expect this season? After spending a majority of their time in transit Giuliana and Bill decide to settle down together in L.A. where Giuliana continues to thrive as a co-host of "Fashion Police" and "E! Live from the Red Carpet" while Bill continues to travel for his speaking engagements.

"I'm a Chicago guy, things are different out here," he points out. "The things you do for love."

After a tumultuous year of trying to conceive, Giuliana and Bill decide to take a break from IVF treatments to focus on their relationship, have a "year of fun," as Bill says, and embark on a trip to Giuliana's native Naples, Italy.

But even while overseas they can't shake the idea of having a child. While in Naples they explore the possibility of adopting a child.

While the couple isn't doing the paperwork just yet, they are continuing their research in the U.S. and are open to adopting a newborn or an older child. "It wouldn't even necessarily be a baby. I want to look at children, too, that have had no opportunity or tragedy in their lives," Giuliana told the Huffington Post. "Our idea was to go there and look for an orphanage. We discovered it's a lot harder to adopt from Italy than we had thought."

As if the busy couple doesn't have enough going on - they also decide to start up a new business venture and tap into Giuliana's Italian heritage by opening up an Italian restaurant that features recipes from her mother.

"She's an amazing cook," Bill says of his mother-in-law. "The recipes have been passed down from generation to generation..."Being an entrepreneur, I figured 'we can bank on this,' but the debate is whether or not to have it in L.A. or Chicago."

While Bill is an expert in starting up businesses, restaurants are a whole different ballgame. Having learned from one of the best - his mentor Donald Trump, Bill recognizes that you need to "find people you trust."

When he's not speaking across the country, Bill often serves as a judge in the boardroom on "Celebrity Apprentice." According to Bill, he's been most impressed by contestants Halle Robinson Peete and Joan Rivers.

So what did Bill think when "The Donald" was considering a presidential run?

"I liked it. He is the type of person that says things that people don't want to hear," Bill points out. Not to mention "he's the only one who could pay for his own campaign!"

Who knows what may happen - there's been some buzz that Trump may get back into the presidential race again. Maybe this time around, Trump will be seeking some tips from Bill to tap into the needs of the general public.

Season 4 of "Giuliana & Bill" airs on Mondays at 8 ET and  10 Central on the Style Network.
