(CBS/KOIN/AP) GRESHAM, Ore. - Some Oregon Girl Scouts are dipping into their allowances to replace stolen cookies for soldiers in Afghanistan.

CBS affiliate KOIN reports the girls from a troop in Gresham had collected five cases during their annual cookie sale.

They were ready to go and sitting in troop mom Lisa Sablan's car last Friday when the car was stolen.

"Some creepy guy stole them and its sad. We worked really hard," 8-year-old troop member Grace told KOIN.

When police found the car two days later, its stereo was gone - and so were the cookies.

"I didn't care that the car was gone," Lisa told the station. "I wasn't sure how I could tell the girls their cookies had been stolen."

The girls started over, hoping to get more cookies to send to soldiers.
