Girl, 8, found dead behind Oklahoma apartment
(CBS/KWTV) WATONGA, Okla. - Authorities have identified an 8-year-old Watonga girl who was found dead in a field.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Jessica Brown said Wednesday that Rosalin Reynolds was found by her father, who went looking for her when the family realized she was missing around 5 a.m.
According to CBS affiliate KWTV, Watonga police took James Daukei into custody about 9:45 a.m. along Oklahoma Highway 8, north of Watonga.
Authorities say Daukei was with the body and ran from the scene when the father and two other men confronted him.
Brown says the child's body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
