Get Your 2009 Calendars for Free

calendar1.jpgWelcome to the first official business day of the new year. If today includes replacing old, expired calendars around the office, wait! This year, instead of buying new ones, you could re-use old calendars. After all, there are only 14 possible calendars -- seven possible starting positions for January 1st, and a second variation for leap years.

If you enjoy building spreadsheets in Excel, you can use the instructions at The Spreadsheet Page to figure out which expired calendars can pinch hit for you this year (or next, or the year after that). Spoiler alert: You can use calendars from any of these years for 2009: 1903, 1914, 1925, 1931, 1942, 1953, 1959, 1970, 1981, 1987, or 1998.

If you didn't save your 1998 calendar, don't worry. You can print a 1903 calendar from here or here.
