Get Paid for Your Short Links with Adjix

adjix.JPGLooking for a simple way to generate revenue on your Web site? How about getting paid just for your links? I know it sounds like some sort of wacky voodoo, but Adjix is a link-shrinking service that pays you for ads that appear when visitors click through your links.

When you shrink a link, you can choose the kind of ad you want to associate with it (there are over two dozen categories). Then, when someone clicks your link, a narrow "info bar" advertisement appears across the top of the page. As a linker, you earn $0.10/1000 unique link views and $0.20 for each unique click-through on an ad displayed with a link.

Part of me bristles at the thought that every square inch of the Internet is being productized, commoditized, and profitized. But the capitalist in me is excited at the ease with which you can set up a slew of trickle incomes.

So what does it look like in action? Well, this reminds me of Rick's advice about how to boost your sales by asking for referrals. Gotcha! Actually, it doesn't remind me of that at all. But I ran that link through Adjix, so if you click it, you should see some sort of technology-related ad at the top of your browser. What do you think of this kind of advertising creeping into the Web? Sound off in the comments.
