Get Location-Aware Google Maps on Your Palm Centro
The mobile version of Google Maps has been "location aware" since last November, meaning it could pinpoint your location using either your phone's built-in GPS or cell-tower triangulation. Alas, Palm Centro users couldn't enjoy the location love; they had to input their positions manually (the horror!).
As of today, the Centro owners can tap a new version of Google Maps for Mobile that automatically displays your approximate location -- very handy for when you're trying to navigate to somewhere but don't know exactly where you are. As always, Google Maps for Mobile costs nada. [via Palm Infocenter]
Update: Sigh. It appears the My Location feature is available only for AT&T and Verizon subscribers. Those of us using Sprint will have to wait until "this summer." (Hey, Palm, I just checked my calendar: It's "this summer" right now!)
