(CBS) Scottish-born actor Gerard Butler took to the field to play for the Celtic Football Club in a match against Manchester United. The charity match was a way to raise money for famine relief in East Africa.

Butler looks like he knows how to kick a football.

According to the Daily Mail, Butler is a lifelong Celtic fan. Other celebrities who played in the match are Richard Ashcroft, boxers Steve Collins and Ricky Hatton and members of the band The View.

The Daily Mail reports Celtic manager Neil Lennon said, "The history of our club was that it was started as a charitable organization for Irish immigrants in Glasgow and we have carried that through year after year on donating to charity ever since."
