"Game of Thrones" Season 2 trailer released

(CBS) April is coming.

HBO released a new trailer for the second season of "Game of Thrones" Sunday night, almost two months before its premiere.

The teaser, which clocks in at just over a minute, features a number of memorable characters from the first season, including Daenerys, King Joffrey, Arya and Sansa Stark, Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister (Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage), who declares, "I understand the way this game is played."

"Game of Thrones" returns to HBO on April 1.
