Gadget Lust: The Wi-Fi-Detecting Wristwatch
For anyone who routinely scopes out Wi-Fi hotspots in hopes of finding some free broadband action, here's a gadget you gotta get: the WiFi Detecting Watch. Just like it sounds, it's a wristwatch (complete with countdown timer, alarm, calendar, etc.) with a built-in Wi-Fi detector. Just press a button and it shows you the signal strength of any available networks (though I'm not sure if it lists their names and whether or not they're public). Alas, the only Web store that seems to carry it is based in the UK, and they're out of stock at the moment. Assuming they get another shipment, the WiFi Detecting Watch will run you about $40 in U.S. bucks. [via Wired Gadget Lab]
