Gadget Lust: MoGo Talk Bluetooth Headset Piggybacks on BlackBerrys

About a year ago, LG's Decoy introduced a clever idea: a cell phone with a built-in Bluetooth headset. Well, not so much "built-in" as "clipped onto the back."

The MoGo Talk brings that same idea to the BlackBerry: It's a headset that rides piggyback (and charges!) inside a custom battery-door replacement.

In other words, instead of having to carry a headset everywhere you go (and waste untold time trying to find the damn thing), you can "dock" it on your 'Berry so it's always at the ready.

It's hard to tell from photos how much thickness the MoGo Talk adds or how well the headset (with its "folding earpiece") will fit in your ear. But we do know this: It's shipping in early August for Curve and Javelin models, and it'll run you $129.

There's also an iPhone version of MoGo Talk in the works: It employs more of a cradle/case design, as obviously there's no battery door for it to replace. Thus, it'll undoubtedly add some bulk to the bottom of your iPhone as well as the rear. But on the plus side, it's priced at $99, and it's due next month as well.

Stay tuned for a hands-on review of the MoGo Talk. In the meantime, what's your reaction? Is this the Bluetooth headset solution you've been waiting for all your life, or is too pricey, too bulky, or too something else to get you excited?
