Gadget Love: Kensington Auto Power Inverter

It's hard to find an extension cord that's long enough to reach all the way to your car -- especially when it's tooling down the highway. Kensington's Auto Power Inverter turns your cigarette lighter into an AC outlet, one that can power your notebook PC, cell phone, printer, or just about any other device (up to 90 watts). It also includes a USB port for charging gadgets that support USB charging. What's particularly nice is the price: $39.95, quite a bit less than similar inverters that came out a couple years back. On the other hand, the same 40 bucks will buy you the Multi-Port Power Inverter, which includes a second USB charging port and a pass-through cigarette-lighter adapter.
