Ga. councilman John Williams loses cool, starts food fight at diner, say police
(CBS/WMAZ/AP) WARNER ROBINS, Ga. - Police say a city councilman in Georgia lost his cool at a Waffle House and smothered another city official with food during an argument.
Would you like syrup with that?
A police report, obtained by CBS affiliate WMAZ, says 72-year-old Warner Robins Councilman John Williams spilled food, coffee and water on Tony Robbins Monday morning during an argument over parking.
Robbins is chairman of the city's downtown development authority.
The councilman told WMAZ that it was an accident and he did nothing wrong. Robbins told the Telegraph of Macon that the councilman lifted up his placemat, and the food and drinks spilled all over him.
Authorities in the central Georgia town have referred the case to a judge.
There were no injuries or arrests.
