Free (Legal) Music on Your PC

If you listen to music while you work, there's good news from Last.fm. Now you can listen to any song you want for free up to three times before you have to decide whether you want to own it. Certainly, other sites like imeem and napster offer similar services, but I'm a big fan of the Last.fm interface, which tracks what you listen to and tells you cool stuff like which of your favorite bands are touring in your area. Of course, you can't download these free songs to your iPod, but it's a great way to check out music—if you're one of those who think it's ok to wear headphones at work.
