Frank Paniagua: "Failure Is Not an Option"

Frank Paniagua is the CEO of Green Plug, which has invented a power adapter hub to maximize resources and minimize solid wastes. Paniagua has created a goal of fundraising several million dollars for Green Plug in the hopes that the company will be sustainable within the next year. He discusses raising money for the company, as well as the negative effect that power supplies have on the environment.

SAN RAMON, Calif.--(Business Wire)-- If consumers had the power, they'd banish most of the power adaptors in their homes.


The environmentally inspired Green Plug to organize a "What's Under Your Desk?" photo sweepstakes earlier this spring. The company asked consumers to literally shine a light on the mess of cables that lurks under virtually every desk and capture the scene digitally -- and received hundreds of responses from consumers nodding in greement. The Green Plug "What's Under Your Desk?" photo posting blog is live through calendar 2008 at greenplugcontest.typepad.com.

Taking home first prize in Green Plug's "What's Under Your Desk?" Sweepstakes is John Trosko of Los Angeles. John, a professional organizer/lifestyle expert/contributing author, will do lunch in Beverly Hills with "green advocates" Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry, co-hosts of the VH-1 reality show, "My Fair Brady. Second prize winner Chris Johnston of Metairie, Louisiana, will receive a $500 gift certificate to Wal-Mart. And Green Plug will make a $250 contribution to Michael Arnold's favorite green non-profit organization. Third prize winner Arnold, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, will direct the contribution to a local school program to educate children on conservation, recycling and alternative energy sources.
