Four people stabbed at Miami Halloween party, police say

(CBS) MIAMI-  A 22-year old man was arrested early Thursday after he allegedly stabbed four people as he left a Halloween party in Coconut Grove, reports CBS Miami.

According to his arrest report, Anevri Moreira and his friends got into a fight with another group of people as they were leaving the party.

"Right now, detectives have very little information as to why the actual argument took place," said Kenia Reyes of the Miami Police Department.

Moreira reportedly pulled a knife, stabbed four people and then ran off. Several people in the group he was fighting with and police ran after him and caught him. Officers also recovered a knife near where Moreira was apprehended.

Two of the stabbed men were in critical condition. A third reportedly went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing. Paramedics were able to revive him and he was rushed into surgery when he reached the hospital.

Moreira has been charged with one count of second degree attempted murder. Moreira has a history with law enforcement including a probation violation, marijuana possession, burglary to an unoccupied dwelling and battery to a police officer.
