Foul play suspected in Minn. woman's disappearance; 2 sought

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Police in northern Minnesota say investigators have uncovered evidence to suggest foul play in the disappearance of a Bemidji woman.

Thirty-one-year-old Rose Downwind has been missing since last month, reports CBS Minnesota. Family said they last saw her on Oct. 19 at a Target in Bemidji.

Her ex-boyfriend reportedly said he saw her on Oct. 21, leaving a home on the city's southeast side.

Police Chief Mike Mastin says two men have been identified as "persons of interest" in the case -- 40-year-old Marchello Anthony Cimmarusti and 27-year-old Christopher John Davis, according to the station. Mastin said in a statement Thursday that the investigation is focused on an area north of Bemidji that includes Lake Bemidji State Park and the Buena Vista State Forest.

Authorities are asking property owners in the area to check structures and acreage for anything suspicious. Police are looking for a pewter-colored 2002 GMC Yukon with Minnesota license plates.

Anyone who sees the men or the vehicle is asked to call the Bemidji police at 218-333-9111.
