Flyers Sign Maneluk One Year

The Philadelphia Flyers boosted their depth at left wing by signing Mike Maneluk to a one-year contract Monday, nine months after dealing him away to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Maneluk recorded six goals and nine assists in 46 regular season games with the Flyers, Blackhawks and New York Rangers last season. The Flyers dealt Maneluk to Chicago for left wing Roman Vopat in November. The Rangers picked him up on waivers late in the season.

General manager Bob Clarke said Maneluk will probably start this year with the AHL's Philadelphia Phantoms.
