Florida 'Vacation' For Fargo Family

A large crowd turned out at the Fargo Air Museum Friday morning to see The Early Show's Dave Price give away a "Great American Vacation."

Jennifer Matson of the Vogel Law Firm in Fargo wrote to the The Early Show about a co-worker who she says is very deserving of a summer getaway.

Matson wrote: "Kathy (Sandford) is our treasure. She has worked at the same company with the same boss for 20 years. We love her so much for keeping our office together and always does it with a smile. Would love for her to get the quality time with her husband and son she has earned and so deserves."

The Early Show thinks so too, and is sending Sandford, her husband, Ron, and son, Cole, to Florida for a very special getaway.

They'll be spending a week on the ocean in Cocoa Beach, Fla., courtesy of Cobra Electronics.

The trip includes passes to all the exhibits, IMAX shows and flight simulators at the Kennedy Space Center. The Fargo family will even have lunch with an astronaut! While in Florida, Cobra Electronics will get the Sandfords from place-to-place with a new NavOne 4500 GPS system in their rental car. It's got 7 million points of interest, turn-by-turn directions with voice and up-to-the minute traffic. The Sandfords are even getting one of their very own to put in the family car.

"I don't know what to say," exclaimed the surprised getaway recipient
as Price called her name and pulled her from the crowd.

"It was awesome. I can't even explain, it's awesome," Sandford said. "Our son is going to be so thrilled. We got to go to Florida last May and he's wanted to go back again since."

Matson told Price," Kathy's an inspiration to us in the office. She rolls with the punches like a champ and we all love her."
