Florida Gov. Wants All Delegates Seated
In between dinner with George W. Bush and the nation’s governors Sunday night and dinner with George W. Bush and the nation’s Republican governors Monday night, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist stopped by Politico’s capitol bureau Monday morning to talk about how Florida can be relevant in presidential politics again.
Recent history would suggest that shouldn’t be much of a problem. But with Democrats and the Republicans both having penalized Florida for holding an early primary, Crist – a self-described moderate Republican – wants to find a way for his state to have a say, and not just because his name keeps coming up on the list of potential running mates for John McCain.
