Fears Of A Material Girl

Well, it's a good thing she hadn't unpacked.

Only weeks after buying it, pop diva Madonna has put her $6.5 million London home back on the market because of security fears, reports CBS News Correspondent Kimberly Dozier. After ex-Beatle George Harrison's near-death experience just before the New Year and the murder of TV personality Jill Dando at her home in London last April, Madonna's security team re-evaluated her house and decided it's simply too visible from the road.

"We are talking about a house that is perfectly visible from the road," the London Times quoted an unidentified source close to Madonna as saying. "Given what happened to George Harrison and Jill Dando, it was just untenable for her. Anyone with a profile needs to be slightly neurotic about their safety in the current climate."

Madonna will look for a more suitable home in London, reported the Times.

Last year, the 41-year-old singer and her daughter, Lourdes, had to be escorted from the Concorde upon its landing at London's Heathrow Airport after British Airways received a threatening call against Madonna.

Next up on the professional front: March will see the release of her next movie, The Next Best Thing, with Rupert Everett.
