"Fastest Golfer" Hits 102 Balls In Minute

The third time proved a charm for "the world's fastest golfer" Wednesday.

David Ogron, who swatted 83 balls in a minute in his first appearance on The Early Show plaza two years ago and 94 last year, broke into triple digits this time around, hitting a record 102.

Ogron and his holder, Scott McKinney, share two Guinness World Records, for most balls hit in two minutes (133) in December 2006, and for most hit in 24 hours, 10,392 in June 2002.

McKinney, who's been Ogron's ball-setter for five years, says he's never been hit by Ogron, though there've been some close calls!

McKinney estimates he puts a ball down every half-second as he and Ogron do their thing.

They're working their way toward a million balls hit and say they're at about the 750,000 mark now.

Ogron and McKinney travel across the country using their talent to raise money for various charities through the Miracle Golf Tour Ogron started. They appear at sporting events, where donors pledge money for every ball they hit.
